Important Dates – 2020

May 18 – Last day to request full refund.  Request must be in writing to help@pvpss.com (order confirmation # is required).  No phone requests.  Must be date stamped on May 18 for full refund.

May 19 – $25 fee for schedule changes, drops and cancellations

May 28, 3:30-5:30pm – Mandatory orientation in the Palos Verdes Peninsula High School Gym for online summer school students.  Parents may attend.

May 31 – Last day for full refund (less $25 fee) on yearlong and first semester classes

June 1 – $25 late registration fee

June 1 – Yearlong and first semester refund rate at 60% through June 21.  Request must be in writing to help@pvpss.com (order confirmation # is required).  No phone requests.  Must be date stamped on or before June 21 for partial refund.

June 12 – Online registration site closes at 3 pm.  Once site is closed, you must register in person at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School (Athletics Office), beginning Thursday, June 18 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.

June 18/19 – Walk in registration at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School (Athletics Office) @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Faculty Meeting @ 12:30 pm on June 19th.

June 22 – First day of classes – no refunds for yearlong or first semester classes. 60% refund for second semester classes through July 10

June 23 – Last day to add/change first semester classes (walk-in by 7:30 am only)

June 24 – Last day to add/change a yearlong class (walk-in by 7:30 am only)

June 30 – End of first quarter. Progress reports due (all students).

July 2 – Last day to withdraw/audit first semester classes (walk-in by 7:30 am only)

July 9 – Last day of first semester. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY for on-site students (no exceptions).  NOTE: Early Dismissal @ 12:30 pm. Faculty Meeting @ 12:30 pm.

July 10 – Last day for 60% refund on 2nd semester

July 13 – First day of second semester

July 14 – Last day to add/change second semester classes (walk-in by 7:30 am only)

July 21 – End of third quarter. progress reports due (all students)

July 23 – Last day to withdraw/audit second semester classes (walk-in by 7:30 am only)

July 30 – Last day of classes – ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY for on-site students (no exceptions).  NOTE: Early Dismissal @ 10:30 am

Sept 1 – Deadline to challenge a recorded grade

  • *Students are required to attend the last day of summer school – July 9th for 1st semester and July 30th for yearlong and 2nd semester classes.  This attendance policy applies to on-site students.
